Hi Wally,

If you do make the trip I recommend traveling the Dalles Gorge along the Columbia River (E/W) between Oregon and Washington state (part of the Lewis & Clark expedition route). Try to hit it in the morning so the sun is behind you. The sights are breathtaking.

Best regards,

Lou

You also avoid having to cross the Cascades, which after crossing the Rockies is no big deal.

Hi Lou and RainCatcher,

Your recommendation for the scenic Dalles Gorge sounds like a really neat route.

We're just getting started and will be doing our planning and coordinating for our trip this month.

I'll start a separate Seattle Route post as we get into the trip planning and to ask for route and stop over advice and recommendations. Tooling Along

Thanks and really appreciate your advice.
Wally

Not much traffic on a Milford GTG lately for this year. I am assuming there will not be one.
