I'm in. I talked to Bev today and she has me all set up.

Arriving on May 14, departing May 16.

404 miles, skirting Chicago

Is spot 474 available? If so, I'll take it, if not, just pencil me in wherever.

Just got off the phone with the plant manager at Bison Mfg. They currently occupy the building that Barth used for manufacturing. Keith Griffin said that he would be willing to allow a group of us to swing by on Friday for a tour and he would make available 1-2 former employees for this. If you stop by any day before or after Friday he will allow you to snap a picture of your coach in front of the factory.

He read our press release in their local paper and has talked to several former employees about showing up at our GTG on Saturday.

It sounds like it's going to be a good time for all... I can hardly wait!

Now there are only 2 more spots left Nick!!! confusion

Hey Guys, "Bev" is the name of the lady who set up my reservation.

My wife's name is Hailey.

Can we change that before the wife sees it? Okay, thanks!

I have a small dilemma. There are no outdoor grills at the Fairgrounds. How do I grill hamburgers and hot dogs for 75 people?? Do we just use a whole bunch of small portable grills?
Anybody got any ideas or suggestions. BillyT, how about Friday night for one of your and Helen's fabulous meals. Right after a prolonged wine and cheese tasting naturally.

When I have to do wholesale sausage cooking, I use a BBQ basket. They run a little different in size, but 20 hot dogs is an average capacity, depending on diameter and length. We buy the Hoffy skinny coneys from a wholesaler, so a lot fit in there. Yes, this is a hot dog recommendation. Smiler The basket also makes it easier to turn them all the same number of degrees (180) at the same time. I even use several baskets on our humungous grill at the lodge.

With the capacity of the typical basket, you wouldn't need too many portable BBQs or deputies. the trick would be matching basket to grill for good flame coverage and a good fit of the lid. Our basket fits under the cover of our Porta Chef (except for the handle), so little heat is lost, and wind is less of a problem. We use the warming shelf to keep the first wave warm while the second wave browns.

Nick I have a charcoal grill that we made to use for large groups. In the summer two of us cook dogs, chicken, brats on it each week for 40 to 75 people in 20-45 min. I would
be glad to bring it along cheers

to continue it is only 14 X48 on a raised stand so there is no reaching over hot coals to flip burgers and is self contained in a 48x14x10 box. Cool

Nick, Maybe the park has facilities for this? They do advertise that they "cater" to larger groups and get togethers... I'll bet they even have a pavillion or such that should have BBQ accessories... Worth a call?

No problem for Friday Night, we will probably cook up an ettoufee'. We have a charcoal grill, converted to gas, about 18 x 24". We carry it around and it plugs into the Barth's LP System.

I have a small/large portable gas cooktop. Small in physical size, but with large burners.
