It appears that we will not be able to attend. I went to my doctor the other day and we confirmed I have an umbilical hernia.

I didn't know it was BOGO day... Doc poked aound some more aand decided I also have a right side inguinal hernia. (I had the left side repaired in 1985)

Sooo, on Sep 17th I will be getting double hernia repair. Not looking good for the drive to Tom Sawyer.

We will miss seeing our great friends.

Steve, I had a triple at the beginning of the year. Belly button and both sides. I needed a couple days to get back to work and 2 weeks of light duty, then was good to go. Glad you're getting fixed up in plenty of time for December.

It looks like the Mississippi is going to crest just before our GTG I wonder at what point the campground is closed? Has anyone asked??? I think the crest is like a foot below flood point. I love the darn river but it can be a pita. Rain please stop!!!

They are predicting a 31.5 crest and the campground information says they close at a 31 foot river crest! Looks like it could go either way!! Other sources have the river at 27fft, so I am not sure but it will be close. The gauge at Memphis says crest will be 21ft, but above and below there say much higher. Who do we believe!

As long as no readings above 31′ occur, Tom Sawyer’s has NO WORRIES! From their site.

No worry, be happy.

Check the first marker up river and the first one down river both of those forecast 10 higher. I think Memphis is behind times.

The first marker above and below Memphis forecast 10 foot higher. Seems weird to me!

They change the marker data like underwear...Memphis 21ft above one marker 21 ft, below one marker 31.6ft...so I guess we should be fine...extended stream flow looks fine for Memphis, says all is fine!!!

Below the graph box look at the rectangular box showing "Gage 0" Datum: 183.91'. This is the height above mean sea level. Add the 20.8 at Memphis to get 204 or 205, upstream at Osceola, ~231, Downstream at Tunica ~ 186, all well below concern. From where you are it's all downhill, Camanche Datum 562.68' https://water.weather.gov/ahps...ge&source=hydrograph

Well yesterday I called Tom Sawyer park, I was only able to get site no. 48 a couple of rows back from the river and the rest of the group, but I did not know if I would be able to make the event. Be there the 19th thru 21st. My spouse once again declined the trip and my Grandson is in school so, baching it, well might bring the dog. Tooling Along
