I also, in times past, have experienced the inverse relationship between gadget-itis, and reliabilityness, but never have I heard the experience described so elegantly, and succinctly. My experiences have usually been described with cascades of coarse language.

HaolemanI just got a note from Dave. The Barthmobile is sold!!! I'm very sad that I didn't act sooner but my better half had reservations. She is now ready to buy. If there are any others out there for around that price, please contact me. Only issue is that I can't travel too far from our inn (no more than an over nighter) as we have no time off until the end of October and that would work too if someone wants to get the summer's use out of it. We can only travel in the Fall and Winter so let me know.
Thanks,
Terry

Tom KoenigI have a 28' Regal in great shape just going up for sale, coincidentally, for $9,500. It's a 1983 with 64,600 miles. I saw your Want It Now query thru Google. I'm not an ebayer so I don't understand all their rules. I'm in Idaho. I can send pics and info however you like if interested. It is ready for the road, in fact, we just returned from a 1,000 mile trip. I just joined barthmobile.com as I felt most people don't know what a Barth is. As I get time I'll put pics and info on the sight.

bill hHi Tom, and welcome.
I think you would have better luck exposing your Barth for sale if you posted in its own thread on Barths for Sale. Take lots of pictures and draw a floor plan.
Look around the site and other ads will give you an idea of what works.

Tom KoenigThanks for the advice. I haven't had the time yet. Been busy prepping it for it's official debut on the market tomorrow. Local classifieds, that is.

Ed ChevalierHere's some more info on a older 87 Chevy converted to a Duramax. [/url]
Good find, Ed. That clears up the sump/crossmember clearance issue.
When I stuck in the 502, I really wanted a Duramax, but no donor was available in 00 or 01. (whenever it was) I knew there would be a sump clearance issue, but had no idea it would be so easily surmounted.

RustyI've been a member of The Diesel Page for about 5 years. Great source of info on the GM 6.2, 6.5, and the line of DuraMaxes.
I found my engine builder (Peninsular Diesel) and transmission/TC rebuilder (Sun Coast Converters) through them.

Rusty Sun Coast Converters I was actually the first customer after Ron Wolverton bought Sun Coast from the Webbs; Webb's Transmissions did the pull and reinstallation. Both provided excellent, competent, services and parts.
Peninsular Engines (f/k/a "Peninsular Diesels")
The Diesel Page (I don't have the other linkies)
