How about if changing from a 6.5 diesel to a Duramax? This is something I have thought about and can't seem to find any infro on.

The Duramax in a P30 requires major crossmember engineering. I spoke with an engineer from Workhorse shortly after the DM came out, and he said they were considering it, but the engines were in such demand that the project was on hold. He did say that it would be a major undertaking, requiring a new crossmember, I believe. Take a look at the pictures of the engine. I am an engine swapper from way back, and really wanted a DM in my Barth. However, it just didn't look do-able or economical. A new ht502 and a GV behind a TH400 is certainly more cost-effective.

BTW, the ht502 crate motor has as much torque as the DM. Perhaps the Thorleys and Performer makes it even torque-ier (new word). Bolts right in, too.

Hi Dave! I spoke wth him a few weeks ago and he said he was very firm on his price {$25,990}. If he is truly interested in selling his coach, father time will wither his price down a bit. . . -Jeff
