Mr. Simmons said that when he bought it in 2001, it had twin beds in the back. He changed it to a queen and turned it the way you see it now. Considering it's a rear engine, not sure if there is engine access under the bed or not. Might go over there Friday.

This is truly an unusual Barth. It's built on a Spartan Mountain Master chassis, 160" wheelbase, with Neway suspension, air brakes, 8.3 Cummins(replaced the original 5.9 Cummins), 4-speed Allison 3461, front mounted radiator, 22.5" tires on aluminum rims. The chassis has a GVWR of 24500#, 7000#front, 17500# rear, with a 373 rear end. I'm still planning on going to Memphis Friday to drive it. The Mountain Master was designed to take either the 5.9 or the 8.3, so the swap which was made by the original owner in 1991, was not a difficult thing.

I suspect you mean bushings, rather than boots. Replacement urethane bushings are more durable and contribute to somewhat more precise (if that is possible on a MH) handling.

Neway makes air suspension parts. The 1000 and 2000 series chasses have leaf springs; apparently this one has airbags.

Dr. Yale's Breakaway https://www.barthmobile.com/eve...1087061/m/9553996557
was built with leaf springs on Spartan 2000 (or 2200 if memory serves me). But, the leaf springs were removed and air bags (along with massive radius rods) were installed aftermarket. No longer having the volumes of receipts in my possession, I do not remember if the system was Neway. I think so.

Yes, Kevin. It's a very interesting coach. I think it may be one of a kind, a 28/29 ft Regal pusher on a Mountain Master chassis with and 8.3.

When I talked to Spartan, they actually emailed me the build sheet for this chassis. As I understand it, the Mountain Master was an evolution from the EC2000. Quite honestly, I would love to have this chassis. I'm not sure about the floor plan, but the chassis is nothing short of terrific.

Sam said the clear coat was peeling. I've asked him some questions about mechanicals and will post when I receive answers. I didn't go over there Friday.

That does not fit the Regency numbering scheme but fits perfectly with the Regal, Breakaway, special builds numbers. I have never saw a Regency with those taillights and have never saw a Regency with that dash layout.
1988 had Regal SE Diesel Pushers. Suspension, weight ratings and air brakes of a Regency, but a Regal roof line as seen in these pictures.

Where's did you see the data tag info at Nick?

Here is a link to where we talked about this. I'm pretty sure there are more links within Barthmobile about the Regal SE Diesel Pushers.
