This is Tere. Took the Beast out for our 1st 2 night outing to Townsend, TN known at "The Peaceful side of the Smokies". No issues until the 2nd day the water hose connected to toilet blew off. Fortunately we were in coach & were able to turn off water within about 15 seconds to stop the "bleeding". We also had a water pressure regulator set at 45psi instead of the water pressure reducer on city water fill which 65psi. So to say the least it could have been worse. No other issues & looking fwd to more trips down the road.
Original owner Bill Beard, then Marvin & Doris, then Gerald Davis. now us.

Sounds like a good time Smiler

We were at a rally and our water line to the shower head blew off . Had to open the wall with a saws-all to fix it . Luckily there was a hardware store nearby with the parts we needed .

My question is "Should we replace the city water fill connection that is rated at 65PSI with one that is rated at 40PSI?. The pressure reducing valve at the campsite hookup was set at 45PSI but could the pressure have accumulated to 65PSI?"

Unless there was a malfunction , the pressure should have stayed around 45 psi .

As in our case , sometimes the fittings fail .

It's the first time I've been off the farm since March with the exceptions of doctor visits. Yes, it was nice. Just sitting by the stream, listening to nature.

Beautiful camp spot! Happy to see Baby Barth and both of you enjoying new adventures.
As for that line: it froze one winter with us (and we replaced it). We had pink antifreeze in there but not enough apparently.

At the Cummins rally the campground had so much pressure it blew all the waterlines in a camper (the guy warned us but we got a built in pressure regulator and use one outside).
DougZ had a flood in his trav trailer too at Hillsborough years back due to a malfunctioning toilet valve. Shut the water off if you leave camp.

The toilet issue was at the toilet itself. Since the leak is stopped for now we can still use toilet but have to pour water into toilet to flush. Not high on my priority list since it currently "works". On to other projects.

Doris, did you and Marvin name it "Baby Barth"?

Yes, we called "her" Baby Barth. Next to all the other Regency and Breakaways she seemed to be shorter and lower (and more cute).
