We are headed for our annual trek to the SC beaches this independence week. Only this time we will our precious cargo will be our two grand kids. The parents will show up later. Ocean Lakes family campground has always been our favorite place.

When Suzie and I went to Darlington we talked about doing the Carolina coast someday. Looks like beautiful area. Maybe next year we could meet up at your favorite campground there. [As long as we don't have to drive I95 very long.]

With the weather forecasting a tropical storm we may end up cancelling the trip. Four rainy days in a RV with a two and three year old does not sound like fun. Cant you keep your storms in Florida where they belong?

Hope you made the right call, sounds like the coast is getting hit pretty hard.

My mother in law has a place in Surfside Beach, not far from Ocean Lakes. Do you guys go there often?

Sorry every one I finally had time to sit down and response. We ended up going and had a great time. Other than the Thursday rain and wind the weather was perfect, cool and dry for July in the south. Unfortunately it looks like the Barth will not be getting much use for a while so we are thinking of selling it. With the kids grown up we may only use it once or twice a year, not enough to justify the expense of upkeep. We would probably go back to a bumper pull camper for a while.
