Well in spite of the fairly warm temperatures (We have not yet had a frost!) it has been rainy, cool and days are getting shorter. All that means it is time to winterize the coach...

As our friend Rusty used to explain, the best way to winterize a coach has nothing to do with draining pipes, etc. Rusty said just grab a pair of shorts and drive the thing to Florida! Being the slow learner I am, it took me a while but that is just what I will do on Tuesday.

Liz and I will meander south for some sunshine and warmth, park the coach in Florida, then drive the car back around Nov 1. We will head south for good in early December.

Looking forward to sunshine, warmth, and a break from the overly busy summer we had.

Have Barth, will travel (soon!) Tooling Along

NO frost!, That is because of all the folks racing to the sunshine state with there global warming machines spewing out and destroying our atmosphere. hmm
You should put an electric engine in your BaRTH. Click You could be burning coal, natural gas or nuclear power. java Maybe you are slowing down the wind or grabbing sunshine. No wonder is is so dark in Alaska during the winter, solar panels shading all that sun.
Have a safe trip. Tooling Along

Suzie and I are heading back down this morning. If we make it to Jellico we will check out a state park near there and maybe spend tomorrow there if it's nice. We don't have to be home by any certain day but we'd like to get there Thursday. We won't have interweb on the road but you could try the cell to see if we're close. Otherwise we'll see you in Florida.

Made it to Exit 1 on I75 to Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga. Another 390 miles. 870 total since we left.

Traffic was steady all day. We took the east loop around Cincinnati, not bad. KY and TN are tedious driving. Many hills, enough truck traffic to always keep speeds changing on the hills. The usual traffic around Knoxville. No cruise control today. Made it up the Jellico hill at 50 mph, floored all the way. Never saw over 180 degrees. The coach is doing great.

Have Barth, are cruising! Tooling Along

So what are the chances of seeing a Barth at any RV park on any given day? What about TWO Barths? hmm

Well, here we are. A 78 and a 98! Danny and Suzy are on their way home from Michigan. They made it this far and they got the last site in the park. Always good to see them but it is usually in Florida!
