How I wish I were in Florida on a beach about now. LOL.
Oh well. I'll have to deal with mother nature's menopausal self here in Arkansas. 80 degrees Christmas day, 60s and 70 day before yesterday- today, around 25 degrees this morning.
At one point yesterday the northern part of the state was in the 20s while the southern part was in the 70s. Me? I'm stuck in the middle. Big Grin

We have had a couple of weeks of -20C and a couple of days well below -30C (that's the HIGH). About freezing today, but more -20C forecast for the rest of the week.

For those of us who are technically challenged and living in a primitive country, -20C is -4F and -30C is -22F. (As a retired Chemistry teacher, I still dream in liters, meters, kilograms and Celsius). Hide

The coldest I have personally seen (walked to school a few times, about 1.5 km) was -35C. (about -32F).

Trivia fact: -40C = -40F. Let's not go there! confusion Hang in there and keep the fires stoked! java

Liz and I spent a pleasant afternoon in Venice with Danny and Suzy. We missed the Hillsborough GTG so it was good to see them again. (It was 83 and sunny.)

Life is good! Cool

We drove to St Pete area to visit Tom and Nancy yesterday. They are staying at a very nice RV park in Palmetto. (The Tides RV resort.) Had lunch at a restaurant outdoors in the sun overlooking the bay. A great way to spend time with good friends!

I replaced the leaking AC condenser on the Prius. Dealer wanted $250 for the part and $250 to replace and charge the system. I got a new condenser from Ebay for $45 and $10 worth of Freon. Took me about 2 1/2 hours to replace, only because I had to drill out a couple rusted mounting bolts. Sunny and upper 70's sure beats working in the cold at home!

I will be installing a turbo boost gauge and an EGT gauge soon. When I bought the coach I was surprised at how few gauges it had. Once the gauges are installed I will be tweaking the engine systems for a bit more power. My 8.3 Cummins is currently rated at only 300 hp. Newer ones are 400-450. I would like to have a bit more power for hills and passing when needed. I will start a new thread when that project is underway.

We are looking forward to seeing Nick and Donna soon. Also Dana and Lynn, newest members of the retired snow bird club.

Life is good.

Sure am jealous of the whole darn Florida contingency!

Got all the way up 37F here yesterday after a week plus of single digits, snow, ice and just winter weather.

Maybe one day Ole Nose will find its way to the sun and fun of Florida..

Enjoy all you guys!!!

Hope im doing this right

Im in Florida and brand new barth owner. I don't know anything about rvs but i had to have it. Unfortunately there is a lot of mistreatment that took place in it and on it that I'm slowly trying to make better. I don't know where or how to get parts for it as of now, I'm learning how to diagnose at the moment. I'm in Sarasota Fl with an 84 regal i believe. Have a great day.
