Jensen Beach
Made it to Pitchford's by the Sea, an old style RV park about 2 blocks from downtown Jensen Beach.

Kevin was there already. We had a great visit for a few days.

There is a bridge from town to Hutchinson Island, a barrier Island with nice beach and resorts. About 2 miles to the park, right across from town.

Looking back at Jensen Beach, the RV park is just to the right of the bridge.

Note the blue building again, right in front of the park.

Hutchinson's Island:

Nice beach, right on the Atlantic.

What a contrast to the frigid north we left just days ago.

Only downside, there are railroad tracks right behind the park, pretty loud at times.

Next stop: Everglades City!

Have Barth, will travel

Railroad tracks close to the campground are just preparation for the GTG in Milford. Big Grin

Nice pictures and glad you and Kevin are enjoying your time away from the frigid North. Weather where I am located has been pretty pleasant for about a week and half and I was ready for it. Had a lot of cold in Obion but only had about 2 inches of snow. Smiler Tooling Along

Just south of the campground there should be a big produce market. They have no cash registers or even paper. They count, weigh, and bag keeping everything in thier heads, then tell you the total. I believe they are Cubans, and perhaps this is how it's done down there. Anyway, a nice clean place with excellent produce.
Have fun and enjoy your stay.

Don't want to wander off the thread but unless you grow it yourself you never know what you eat. Things get labeled quickly, just some time back they sold sweet onions labeled Vidalia Onions (supposedly from GA) and they were from WA.
And I know one lady that sold eggs from her free range chickens and if they did not lay enough "supplemented" with store bought eggs (which you can tell the difference if you ever had your own free range chicken eggs). Just saying ... Hide

It has been a few years but Ocean Lakes is nice and convinient for shopping and eating (no need to go to Myrtle Beach). Also liked Lakewood next door. Indoor pool and hottub for colder days. They also got rental camper trailers and parkmodels. Big campground with lake and great walking around. Be aware in Nov you might find yourself surrounded by horses as they host American Heart Ride on the Beach (this year Nov 5-9,2014). It is great fun for horse people as you can camp with your fourlegged friend in the campground and ride on the beach. Note: separate areas.

Produce?
My lettuce, kale, Brussel sprouts and cabbage survive the light frost last night and should be ready for pickin' just before the MearlFest and Barth in late April!
