We will be headed out from No CA about the 23rd of May to Blytheville AR. Have a race to work June 3-5 there.

After we will head up to Chicago to visit for a brief time with my sister and then to Howell MI to visit my brother for a few days.

After that we will head to NO MI and hope to catch up with you Steve and then over the top of the lakes and thru MN to catch up with Dana. We should not be in a hurry to get back so any other Barthers along the way we might be able to link up.

After the event is over I will have a better idea of the dates when I will be thru your area. Will be pulling the trailer so stopping places will have to accommodate.

Blytheville is not far from where I live. More info about the race and I might be able to run over there.

Excellent! It would be great to see you. You can park here or there is a small RV park 3 doors away on the lake. They have a few pull through sites. We have an extra car if you need local transportation. Let me know when you have specific dates! Thumbs Up

(We do a pretty good fireworks show every July 4th!)

Other then the Allegan and Minnesnowta GTGs we will be around most of the summer except the last week of July and the first week of Aug I will be boating in Lake Superior with my Dad.

Mary Ray, I was wondering where you've been hiding.
We'll have to catch you again soon, been too long!

You know your welcome! I live on a dead end cul-de-sac. Trailer shouldn't be a problem. Depends on how good you are at maneuvering Smiler . I often drop the trailer or boat on the street and use the pickup to bring it home. Have 2 50 amp plugins around the shed. That goes for any of the crew.

Kazy plans a Minnesnowat GTG and I have to be in Lincoln Nebraska for a National meeting for work. head bang

Let us know when your coming by cheers

Tom, I was thinking about that! Our event is June 3-5, I will be setting up June 1st at the airport, That is the old retired SAC base Eaker AFB. Great surface and LONG. I expect to see some records there for sure. We will have some Ford mustangs that have done 230+ and the Ford GT that has done 279, and that was done on a really bad surface. If he doesn't break something he will be in the 280+ area. Some bikes will top 260-275.

I plan to arrive in Blytheville area about May 30 or June 1, lets compare each others whereabouts and see if we could meet up, I may leave a day earlier so I could be in the area when you come by and would be a good time to meet as I am free until set up day.

What is the date/night you plan to be at West Memphis?

I believe I have your phone number and I think you have mine. if not we can PM later.

Hope to see you.

Heading out this AM to Arkansas to do the Arkansas Mile. The event is at Blytheville AR airport and will run June 3-5. Mary, if you can make it let me know if you want to come by Friday afternoon would be the best for me, the weekend gets CRAZY!

I should be in the Memphis area by Sunday night or Monday and be there until Wednesday morning.

Steve, Dana, sorry but with the things going on and the repairs I will start upon my return I will return immediately to CA after the event. My next trip will be for the Colorado Mile on Labor Day weekend. That event will be held at Watkins CO just 30 miles or so East of Denver. I might continue on to MI and points East then.

Past ABQ next stop will be past OKC tonight.

Been a bit stressful drive, I am losing boost somewhere between the turbo and intake. Runs OK but very slow to build boost and engine temp rises quickly when power is asked for. I get full boost but very slowly. No smoke. Doesn't over heat but will go to 200 on a long pull. EGT is about normal

There is a boost modulator on the injection pump, low or no boost, no fuel, no heat, no boost. I suspect I have a leak from the intercooler as that is the only place that has a direct influence on temperature. Of course an overworked engine does run hotter. Waste gate could be faulty or a leak in the plumbing. The turbo is fine.

MPG is OK and I can drive 65 all day long, just have to watch the engine temp. Will do more trouble shooting when I get to Memphis Sunday night.

Will be thinking of you as you go.....be careful and on the lookout for tornadoes and wicked weather...you don't need THAT kind of "boost"(!)
Thanks for keeping us posted!

I had somewhat similar issues (recently cured) and the culprit was the IP.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am at the OK/AR border area now.

Temperature variations settled a bit but still there. MPG was very good BUT, I was driving MUCH slower that I normally do.

Power was OK boost would come up but still is slow.

Max boost was spot on to previous times.

Will try to do some trouble shooting tomorrow to find the root cause???

Same here - eventually max boost deteriorated (15+ psi) to <1 psi headed home from Cagles after New Years. Strong out of the hole, but modest power for acceleration. No smoke. Could eventually run at 65, but had to watch EGT and coolant temp.

Thanks but no, I am at Russellville AR now and will be at Memphis tomorrow. Looks like a sticky waste gate is the problem, I took off the turbo and freed up the waste gate and all has been well so far.

Will be returning back to CA starting from Blytheville June 6, maybe we can hook up on my way back.

Again THANKS for the offer.
