Suzie and I are barthing on down to Naples, [Golden Gate area] for a weekend at L&J Resort Campground. It's a little known place with 2 sites, one of which is taken up by the owners Barth, but comes with a 30 amp hook-up and the price is right. Just some drywall repair!
We should arrive around lunchtime today, and plan on staying till monday. See you soon Lennie and Judy.

With any luck we'll be in the Naples area by Wednesday, then on to the Keys for a month! Yeehaaa!

Meanwhile my luck is consistent... 2 days before we head to Florida we get another 6 inches of snow AND gas goes up 30 cents! At least Barth is ready (I think!) Tomorrow I head downstate, we'll see.

We got another 6 inches of snow Fri night. By Sat morning a foot.. head bang I didn't take any pics, too depressing!

Ran the snowblower once more and subjected Barth to the indignity of snowy roads. At least Barth seems happy and ran great after the Big Sleep. Arrived at my house downstate to find almost no snow. Barth needs a bath.

Finish packing and gas up today, then south on Monday morning. Thanks to all for the encouragement and contacts.

Not to take away from the thread drift, but we had a great time at Lenny & Judy's over the weekend. Dinner at the North Naples Country Club, [a little bar with great food], a tour of 5th Avenue and downtown Naples, convincing us that this is another place we can scratch off the list of places we want to live, and a lot of kicking back and taking care of some things around the house. We enjoyed every minute and will post pix when we get them up. Thanks L&J and a special prayer for Judy, hope all is well.

We stayed at Sunshine many times in the 70's. Like most of the Keys, English was still spoken at that time. It's a beautiful park.

Casa Noble is open for business up to the 9th, then we're up at Silver Springs for the weekend. I have a great spot for the Barth if you're coming through.
