Well, after a couple of months of ownership, cat (LK), dog (Pookey) and I are off on our first road trip. Plan to leave home (Pocahontas County, WV) on Monday and drive to Warrior Creek Campground, NC. May stay one or more days then its off to Buck Hall Recreation Area, SC. Following a day or two we will be off to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. to visit with the daughter. Not sure how long we will stay but plan to be there a couple of weeks. Updates when wifi available.

Been a good trip thus far. We left home Sunday, Aug 8 and drove to Warrior Creek Campground on W. Kerr Scott Lake, west of Wilksboro, NC. Nice facilities, pull through spot. Monday we traveled to Buck Hall Recreation Area located on the Intracoastal Waterway about 30 miles north of Charleston, SC. This small campground (14 RV sites) was great. Tuesday we stopped at Tomoka State Park, Ormond Beach, Florida for the night. Wednesday we made it to the daughter's place in Fort Lauderdale. Today, Thursday, we moved to Paradise Island RV Resort in Oakland Park, Florida. Nice place, think we will enjoy our stay.

Here are pictures from Bandit's Roost, NC, Buck Hall, SC and Paradise Island in Oakland Park, Fl.
We enjoyed all three and will likely stop at each again.

Great trip. The Barth did GREAT! Our first road trip logged right at 2100 miles. Our last two nights on the road were at Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine, Fl and Santee State Park, Santee, SC. Here are a couple of photographs. I must say, we (LK, Pookey and I) really enjoyed our trip. Heading back south in Dec.
