So I guess the reserve was not met...

What a joke. Look at the bid history, rather suspicious to me.

I think I will paint my 86 flat black, put some wierd antennas all over it, some government AREA 51 signs. Sell it for 100K and claim it was a "government spy vehicle".

In the interest of full disclosure I will admit that the cloaking device is broken, but could be repaired by the right alien service shop in Roswell.

Good grief head bang

Well it is up to $41.6k with a new bidder. Still on reserve and 4 hours left.

Doorman, I think Makers Mark might be a good advertisement for your baby!! Then you could buy like another 10 vehicles. Woo Woo!

Price may be over the top, bids may be scams but what does it do for the value and awareness of the line? Not sure it doesn't have some place in the line of any press is better than no press. Hide

It needs to go to someone with more money than brains. hmm Probably not intended for a "Frugal Barth Purveyor."
It is fun do see what the rest of the world is doing with a Barth. Salute

Hey D D (Dick Dubbs) Whoops you missed the adjective in front of Purveyor.
As shown is a google search: "entailing little expense; requiring few resources; meager;
Sorry you missed the adjective that describes many members here. Salute

I was just reading the description on eBay. Here is a quote from the description: "Better than airstream, fmc, GMC." Does GMC still stand for General Motors Corporation? Did GM build the P37 Chassis? Badged as Mercedes? It is not like someone put a 5 cylinder Mercedes Turbo Diesel in the old Barth. Maybe it is just because Barth and Benz both begin with a B.

Friend of mine had a GMC motorhome.
Cool looking but he said it was a nightmare to keep up. I always heard they were ahead of their time.

I went to a sports show last year, they had a large Mercedes, I guess I would call it a conversion van, probably about the size of this Barth, only $150k. So $85k is cheap for this unit!
