If it is a running Diesel it is a heck of a bargain. Front engine?
Even as a gasser if all works a great deal.

Data tag #17n540122jw002008, can anybody help break the code?I know its a John Deer chassie but I I think its a gasser? My son in law is going to look at it this weekend for me. I hope it in better shape then the rusty one I bought off ebay.

My bad that swas the vin # the data tag # is 8712-3499-30?-a the ? Mark is either A I,J, or a T .

I remember a couple HEAVY front engine diesels. One guy, who had one built, owned a fleet of IH trucks (or maybe some other brand) and had is Barth built on what was essentially a school bus chassis.
That one, and at least one other, had a HUGE engine cover between the front seats.

Well its hard to tell from the picture but the engine cover does come up pretty high, maybe it is a diesel? I was hoping someone new how to tell by the vin # ?
