Barth Breakaway, motorisé Classe A de très haute gamme, 30 pieds, structure et extérieur, entièrement en aluminium, basé sur construction de type avion en tôle riveté (blind rivets) sur un chassis Spartan, équipé d’un moteur arrière ‘’pusher’’ diesel turbo Cummins 5.9 avec Banks PowerPack add-on ($3500 donne une puissance augmentée, meilleure accélération et un kilométrage amélioré) (12-14 mpg ou 20@24 L/100 km) avec transmission Allison 4 vitesses, freins à air et hydrauliques, suspension arrière assisté à air, 2 air climatisés combinés chauffage, 2 chauffage central au propane 2 zones, toutes les armoires en chêne, refrigérateur et congélateur Dometic pleine grandeur, génératrice propane 7500 watts Mitsubishi 3 cyl., auvents sur toutes les fenêtres et grand auvent central, 4 vérins stabilisateurs hydrauliques en équipement standard (contrôle central de l’intérieur)… (support arrière hydraulique pour moto aussi disponible, était utilisé pour ma BMW RT1100) (Airstream, Prevost, Newell, … ) Tenue de route excellente, vitesse de croisière 110-120 km/h, 12 @ 14 mpg. Ne demande qu’a partir pour de longs voyages … Alaska, Rockies, … Et ce pour les 10 et plus prochaines années ...
