For sale, a very rare Barth slide in truck camper. Barth produced the most well built camping trailers, and later on, some of the best motor homes out there. (See the excellent Barth forum on the web). This camper is a rare slide in, of which they built very few. The exterior aluminum skin is thicker than most other campers, and the internal framing is aluminum channel, NOT rot-prone wood as used in almost all other campers. This one received a small puncture in the roof, which was patched with a steel patch. It rusted away, and allowed water to enter. The camper was on an angle, so the water was isolated to the door end. There is damaged paneling in the rear section of the camper. The front half seems pretty solid. This camper needs to be restored, but is an easier one to do, as no inner frame work needs to be replaced. No sagging or wobbly walls to deal with. I would love to do this over myself, but I have way to many projects ahead of me, and not enough years. Also, I have determined that the type of camper I want is an 8` or 10` Alaskan camper. Plenty of pictures available here:

Dang!

Every time one of these comes up, it is far, far away.

Something like this would be great for short hunting, fishing and camping trips to places even our Barth is afraid to go.

The CT one has been for sale for a year anyway. You may recall my friend Damon bought the one that came up in Maine after I goaded him into it. He called the CT guy and his impression was that it was beat up, had leaks and the like. But, hey, $500 isn't much. You'd pay that for an aluminum cap!
