I took a look at the link. I think the snow threw me off.

Looks like a real nice rig. Can I call it a "RIG" here on this site?

Make a great day for all you meet today!

YES

That's Tom Taylor's coach, formerly owned by John Jacobsen.

So, was it always on the west coast? It sounds like a real nice Barth, but way too far for me to consider. Does anyone here know if that is the common rail high pressure fuel injection diesel? Somewhere in the mid ninetys is where common rail began in the diesels.

It was in CA, but its home base is now Jacksonville, FL. It's not for sale.

****High Pressure Common Rail aka CRD ****
Common-rail injection went on European Cummins engines in 2001 and the Dodge Cummins for model year '03, bringing much less noise, more power, and lower emissions. Despite the engine being more efficient, a heavier truck, bigger tires, and other factors conspired to drop real-world fuel economy slightly.

Good educational information. CRD as you call them are not necessarily friendly for Waste vegetable oil WVO. So this means I could purchase anything before the turn of the century and not be getting CRD. Thanks for the tip. I do know my 2005 6.0 is common rail. The 6-liter Ford is quite a motor despite the earlier problems Ford had in 03 and 04. Bill of Powerstrokehlep.com claims to be able to bulletproof the 6.0 Ford. He has good suggestions for reworking it. Mine is all stock. Runs fine. Sometimes the turbo sticks because it is variable vane turbo.

Do you know when Cat stopped putting engines in highway vehicles?

It is not for sale but still listed at that link in Ca. I do not know how I found that link.

Here is another link. http://www.amazingrv.com/view_rv_details.php?RID=168

The more I look at Barths the more confused I get, but I am not giving up! Then I end up finding out that the Barth coach I found is someone's on here already.

I purchased my tow vehicle last week. It only weighs in at about 2700 lbs. A covered trailer to put it in will weigh more than the car does. Sometimes I do thing backwards.

If you go to PPL's site, you'll see they have no Barths currently available.

Here is an obscure listing you might not have seen:
Date: June 27, 2012 at 05:57
From: seller
Subject: 1981 barth motorhome for sale.
it was 454 engine...6.5 onen generator, new
toilet installed...it needs a little work around the inside..it runs and overall is in pretty good shape, uh three sleeping areas and cabinets the inside looks good, and it was hooked up and running power ...if you have any questions feel free to call 2563855478, asking 3100.00 but willing to negioate ...great for someone to stay in.. Call for details and be glad to let you come look at it.

To buy a toad, which you intend to tow within an enclosed trailer, behind a motorhome you do not have (likewise, the trailer) is peculiar.

I was just in the right place at the right time. From what I was told Ford only built 378 of the 1964 Mustang convertables with a 260 engine. Automatic and power rag top. There were about 120,000 total Mustangs built in 1964. I got a rare little pony and need a workhorse to travel with it. I was actually buying parts for my pickup when I found this little pony. Imagine that!

A very, very late Barth. Just what you need to tow the Mustang.
