Folks, I am restoring what I was told is a 1966 Barth Junior Camper trailer. Without a doubt, it looks just like the very early '70's model Barth Motor coaches. Built like a tank, solid wood cabinetry etc. Same lines, all aluminum, and it really has become a "passionate obsession" (so says my wife). I have searched all over the web, and on every camping trailer site known . . .nobody has any recollection of Barth ever making a towing camper, only coaches. Anybody have any other sources? I had hoped to get a hold of the Barth coach company in the hopes of finding some historical documents . . .but once again, I'm told they shut down. Any older camping families out there that might be familiar with the older models? In stripping the 30 odd layers of latex, and spray paint, I DID come across the famous Barth name in Barth script. I know it is theirs . . .nobody will claim my orphan. I'll post pictures soon.

Steve,

Take a look at the following URL. In fact, Barth started business by buying the Continental Trailer Co. They in fact made the first 50 ft mobile home. It was after the Robert Barth left the company that they really started in on motorhomesin about 1970.
