Does anyone know the code or significance of the Barth Serial Number. Ours is 9710-M0040-37MM01

Steve VWWelcome to the Barthmobile forums.
The coach's data tag has both the VIN chassis number from the chassis manufacturer and the Barth build number.
The Barth number as you know, has 3 groups. The first group of 4 digits are the year and month that Barth completed the coach. The second group is the sequential Barth serial number. The last group gives length, then floor plan code.
9710-M0040-37MM01 gives us Oct 97 for build date, with serial number 0040. (It appears that after Barth reorganized in 95 they became Barth RSV, started the numbers over again and used the M in front of the serial #)
Length is 37 feet. MM for Monarch model with Spartan chassis and Cummins engine. 01 is the floor plan code.
Check out the Data Tag forum here. There is a list of known Barths we have compiled. We'll have to add yours to the list.
