There seems to be the most coaches FOR SALE I've seen since I joined the elite group here at Barthmobile. I am afraid that it is giving some anxiety thinking that Barths have reached the end of their lives.

I have seen stick and staple that even when new would be more suited to a sedentary existence under cover to prevent deterioration.

Slideouts are the rage but I have not talked to a single person who has slides who has not had chronic issues.

Barth is made to run and last. My 72 was striped and destined for scrap. It is now a valued contributor to my enjoyment of my deer camp. Okay not running but still not rotting, leaking or falling apart.

I have done everything with all my Barths to last forever. I see all of them lasting my lifetime. DBarth just needs a new home...

Updated my Craigslist post to reflect the lower price. Has people contacting me again. Sure would like to get her a new home before winter. I will be winterizing soon as don't want a hard freeze causing issues. Simple to energize the water system if needed.

Well 2 weeks ago I took DBarth to work for someone to look at and I had to call them off to Keep Lynn from joining the other angels.

I was hesitant to drive it there to try and show again. 42 degrees this am. Fired right up without running the heater. She is such a pleasurable easy handling rig. Just got home a half hour ago. I have the water on and running the faucets dripping. Frost freeze warning tonight sure don't need frost cracked pipes.

I know Rusty"put on a sweater" Sorry

Taking her in the morning again have another coming tomorrow. She will be for sale until she sells. I wish I could keep her but it makes no sense to have 3? for me. I mentioned the $60 one yesterday and Lynn said we don't need another one..... ROTFLMAO

Been talking to a lot of nice folks.

Such a contrast. I had installed a larger heater, insulated windows and an extra engine heater in the 86. Would be thinking of winterizing soon...

Meanwhile, Alan and I didn't spend much time discussing winterizing. (In Austin he'll just need Rusty's sweatshirt) He did mention getting a 3rd air conditioner, though. ROTFLMAO

Upper 30's here last night. Getting close. Good luck with your sale.

DBarth is still for sale just not actively. I have never driven her on salted roads and don't believe the previous owner did either. I would sell but probably cry if she drove away on salted roads.........

There are some days in Minnesnowta that have clean dry roads. Deadhorse

Wish it would work for us. Tere and I are actively looking for something to replace our 22' Minnie. It's a very nice motor home but it's too small for us. I think we're going to have to stay in the 28' range and something less than 11' tall so we can put it in the shop. I won't leave a motor home outside--just can't do it. Can't seem to get in touch with Roger Pence about Old Blue, but a 28' Regal would work. Problem is, I can't do a project anymore. It will have to be ready to go.

We looked at a very, very nice 1999 Fleetwood on a P37 chassis. But it was 11' 8" tall and I would have had to spend several thousand dollars to raise the roof of our shop and re-insulate it.

Dana, the problem is the height. I think DBarth is more than 11' to the top of the a/c. Frowner

Ah Jim I believe that could be incorrect. Previous owner claimed less than 10 and that was a requirement of his because of somewhere some thing that neeeded the clearance. I have put the attwoods that are higher than the Penquins but not much. We are currently at 30 degrees in the great white north and heading out to the shed to work so when I come back in I will give you the height. I never cared so I never measured?? Stay tuned....

Jim I braved the cold and ice. okay 30 degrees with a 20 MPH wind but the roof is ice covered. (I was careful) Where she sits made a little tricky. Less than 10ft was the roof. 14" attwoods The CB antenna is the only thing that sticks up higher and that is a whip. (Yes it still works)

The ground is uneven so it is a little dicey?? I believe except for the CB whip everything would clear under 11ft actually easily. I took the longest measurement at the front air conditioner. leveled and perpendicular to the ground got 130 inches. 10 ft 10 inches. That was the highest spot other than the whip I could find. Winter sucks.....

I wish I had the money to have a shed to keep them warm/cool and out of the weather. But I don't. That is why I have Barths. No leaks,no rot no problems.

Except for where the window condensate runs off on Camp Barth there is no water issues on any of the 3 Barths. They will all outlive me.

JIM & DANA,
Doesn't the 5th picture on page one of this post under "Specifications" state the overall length & height? 34'4" long & 10'10" with A\C height. Just sayin'
Tere

Dana,
Glad you didn't get hurt measuring.

I researched motorhomes for months, happened upon the Barthmobile site and decided nothing within a realistic price range compared to the quality of a Barth. I waited close to two years for what I wanted(coach size,engine/tranny,chassis), to become available for sale(my Breakaway XL). I have even sold it once and then bought it back again a few years later Smiler
Point being that there are others that have discovered the uniqueness of Barth's through their wading through the masses of MH offerings out there and are currently waiting for that particular Barth to become available that checks off the items on their wish list.
Your coach is a bargain as priced. Don't sell it in desperation or devalue it by lowering the price drastically. A buyer WILL find you.
Hang in there!
