Two excellent nights at Stellafane in Springfield VT. The best was looking at the Cats Eye Nebula from a 28" reflector with bino eyepieces.

It sounds like you had good time! Did you get a chance to gawk through Al Nagler's Ethos?

Rusty,

Oh Yea...several times. Looked at Jupiter with it's moons and a local star, all in one view. It weighs 1 1/4 lbs or so.! Al donated one in the raffle ..naturally I did not win. Nest Star Party is Aruna Hills, not sure we will go as there is not much room for the Barth but we will go to the Connecticut Star Party in September.

Best Regards,

Jim

I hope you have a good time at CSP! My September project is to go to the former UPa Flower and Cook Observatory; our club has been donated the 28" Cass and the 15" Siderostat refractor, which I'll be disassembling and preparing for transport.

After that comes the Peach State Star Gaze '07 at Deer Lick Astronomy Village (100 miles east of Atlanta) in October.
