A reminder: Tomorrow's National Astronomy Day; most cities with an astronomy club will have displays, demonstrations, and, weather permitting, observing.

In the past few years very fine, affordable, solar filters have emerged, so that solar prominences can be seen (before, only sunspots), so daylight observing is more interesting.
