I'm looking for anyone who has access to a brake drum for a 1972 Chevy P30 van.

It looks like this...

and has these specs:

Height 6.42"
Inside diameter 13.00"
Outside diameter 15.28"

Friction surface 3.15"
Hub Reg. 4.59"
Bolt circle 8 X 6.5"
Stud size 9/16"
I'm looking to get one of these ASAP. I would also accept something with the same spec. but different cone shape.
Centric parts lists part number 122.66006 as a fit (but not exact shape)
Brake Best part # 8023DGS
Wagner part # BD60623

A lot of people claim to have it, but upon looking at stock they have none. I desperately need this drum!
Thanks for looking.
Mark

Yeah, there are several on the web that *say* they have it. When ya call to verify, ya hit a wall.

Rock was about the 3rd place I tried.

Thanks for responding though.

Do you have a GM# for the part? I have a friend who does GM parts at a dealer who actually knows how to find stuff in the GM system.

Shoot me the VIN# I can call him for the part number and maybe find a supplier.

I will call my friend tomorrow to see if he can find one in the system somewhere. He can search inventories for warehouses and even other dealers. He seems to find stuff nobody else can. (He often gets calls from other dealerships wanting to find them parts.) Maybe he can find one that actually exists. Won't hurt to try. I'll be back...

That has to be the cleanest 70's coach out there. What a beauty! Thumbs Up

Thanks for the part hunt & for the compliment on the coach! We've put WAY more $$ into it than it would ever bring, but we love this little bus and live full time in it for 10 years now. Just got it painted 2 years ago & it was really great to find such a meticulous painter. He spent 3 weeks going over the body (which I thought was pretty straight before) and did a phenomenal job on both body & paint. Actually, we just came back from getting aluminum wheels put on. So, I also have a set of Wheelmaster liners for sale now!

Talked to my dealer parts guy. That is definitely an obsolete part but he may have found you one at a dealer in New Jersey. Check your PMs.
