Ed, this may be of NO use to you at all but on my 83 35' regency i had to pull the grill out of the back. this meant drilling out the rivets, removing the grill section then replacing with new rivets after installing a new (rebuilt) radiator. i have encountered no problems since doing this i think 2 years ago.
