Thermostatic Control Valve
Thermostatic Control Valve:
One of our members Barth is @ Apalachee RV getting their Hydraulic Fan Clutch replaced. I was asked if I knew what the part number was. I don't have a 3208 Cat and I know that several of our members have had this done.

Does anyone have any info they can share on this job... part numbers etc...

Bill, are you asking for the hydraulic fan motor or the valve? The 250 hp is gillig #55-14532-004 and the 300 hp is 55-15711-004 for the hydraulic pump. The temperature switch is gillig part # 51-15852-00. The fan motor control valve is gillig part # 53-15851-002. The hydraulic fan nmotor is gillig part # 55-14533-000 (1986 standard) and part # 55-15131-000 and 55-18801-000 for the 300 hp.
Tom Johns did have a rebuilt hydraulic fan motor for sale. sky (Ray)

Thanks Ray... The RV Repair Center has this info now. I was able to get the Data Tag number... I already had it. Wink

I also gave them the Ph# for Gillig.

While I may be late, you need the VIN for Gillig to properly trace the production parts. They can find the original data and make sure you have the correct part.

I gave them all of this info and suggested they verify for themselves. Hopefully he will.
