Breakaway dash panels
Does any one have extra Breakaway dash panels, or had to previously repair panels and have suggestions on what works well?

I just used the plastic ones as patterns and had 11ga aluminum laser cut and powder coated satin black. No bending needed as three flat panels work just fine. The only thing necessary was to countersink the screw heads before coating and you can eliminate at least half of the old mounting screws.

I did the same thing that Tom did, made three panels and at the junction of the center panel to the two side panels made a strip to hide the seam.

I also repositioned the gauges so I could see them better and added Trans temp, EGT, and Boost gauges.

This looks great. I am heading down the same path, just thought I would ask before I found out there was an easier solution. Thanks so much for the quick and detailed response.

I used iron on oak veneer to hide the cracks on the edges on mine.
