Just picked up my 93 Breakaway from Doug in MI. A nice coach, thanks Doug. Anyway, apart from most questions that I see have been covered on this site (and I will try most), I too have a mystery switch. To the right of the drivers seat, above the window and on the bottom of the small cabinet, there is a what looks like a regular wall switch with a single on/off switch and red light. Any help will be useful.
Any more ideas on the Banks for the 93 coach. I am sure it has the 92 190 Cummins. But, I can't even get to 65 on the flats, much less 70.

Thanks in advance.

Kelly

To the right of the drivers seat? I have the same switch to the left and uder the left upper cabinet, it is for the engine heater, if you have it hooked to shore power (or on generator), and turn the switch, the block heater in the Cummins is on.

What RPM are you running flat out, I believe that you have a Allison 4 speed, not sure how they are geared but I think you may be at the top of the governor. I think I remember that they can be turned up abit and not sure what the differences are between the 190 and the 230 engine is. Mine tops out at 2500 RPM but would be near 90 in 6th. (never been there!)

Ed,
Thanks, you are right, it is on the left. Don't know what I was thinking. I do have the 4 speed, run about 25-2700 flat out.

The 6 speed Allison is a double overdrive so that is where I pick up the extra speed (or lower RPM/MPH)

I have had my Barth for 8 months now and still finding things and searching for answers to a lot of issues. The Barth is a good platform to start with so it has been a lot more fun then my previous SOB.
