replacing air compressor oil hose

was putting new aircompressor belt on and broke the hose going into the oil pan from the compressor, noticed this was a fitted hose,should i take the hose off and go to the hydrolics shop and have them make me another one, is this a pressure or heat type hose,,, thanks Capt bob

Bob, I believe there are two oil lines going to the compressor.. The feed line is under pressure and should probably be replaced with one that could handle that pressure... The other is just a return line for the oil to drain back into the pan and shouldnt have any pressure in it so it would be alot more forgiving... Which one is it? Lets hope its the return line....

hey , how u doing, well i think it is the return, remember i lost my belt on the way to the gtg, but luckly had a spare, thought id put on a new one , and as i was moving compressor broke the rubber hose at the fitting, it is the hose going from compressor to top of oil pan , i guess that would be the return, will checkhose and forum first thing in the morning, getting ready to hit the hey, getting up at 4, thanks capt Bob

if it is the return line, do you think if i repair it mysely with good hose if it would work?

hey Chris, nice coach, sounds cold where your at, im still stuck here in fla, no snow for Christmas, nice of boll to supply us all with some snow hwere on the web site, hey Chris question, im looking to change my radiator hoses and i got no books or manuels,, do you by chance know the part numbers,, thanks

I tossed out my idea on the other thread.
Easy to get similar hoses at NAPA if you brign them a sample (depends on how 'nice' your local NAPA is!!)
