Is a 6.5L turbo diesel the orginal engine, in a 94 barth 28' break-away, with a spartan chassie.

I have only seen the cummins 5.9 in the Breakaway. Barth did use the GM 6.5 in something, a Regal I think, but I don't know what model for sure.

If you could get the chassis number, you could call Spartan (1-800-543 4277) and they could tell you all about that particular chassis. They could not however tell you what Barth did with it. That is, whether they made it a Breakaway or a Regal.

Turville Inman (Pres of Florida Sunshine Rangers) had a beautiful 94 28' white unit with a GM 6.5 on (I think) a Spartan chassis. I don't think it would have been called a Breakaway though since it had a full basement. If it has an air intake coming from the roof it's his old unit...he had that put in after an unfortunate Alaska experience.
