when the manufacturer says it's a "8.00 x 16" tire size, does that mean the wheel is that size or what? I called Michelin and they don't have a clue. This question is for a non-Barth vehicle so if it should be moved somewhere else, please bear with me.

Humbojb, Your wheels are 16 inch wheels. The 800 refers to the tire size. When I ran several one ton chassis dump trucks. They all had either 750, or 800 tires. I am not sure what is on my current dump truck. It is not home now. I think the 750-16 tires were replaced with 225-75-16 tires a few years back.
