What would cause the lp gas to shut off 60 seconds after you light an appliance? Any appliance. The propane just stops flowing.

Could it be a bad lp leak sensor turning off the lp gas solenoid valve ?

Is the tank low? If full, then the regulator is probably faulty. The propane flows from main tank valve to the regulator, then usually to the electric cutoff valve connected to the gas sniffer. From there it goes to the main gas lines.

Turn off the main valve. Disconnect the gas line just downstream from the regulator. (low pressure side) Being sure no sparks or flames in the area, open the main valve briefly. Yo should get good flow out of the regulator. If not, the regulator is bad. If flow is good, move downstrean and check flow downstream of the electric valve. The valve may be plugged or stuck.

No offense taken . When in doubt it's always good to be safe .

The concern is not so much if there is not a leak and one of the sensors is malfunctioning, rather if there is a leak and the safeties are working. Propane is heavier than air and accumulates in the low areas. A random spark from anything could ignite the area and if the leak is large enough not extinguish. The pros have propane snorkel devices. Shut off the valve, take it to the shop. A check is not that expensive and if it is a good propane dealer might do a check for free and identify the problem.
