I have had problems with the tranny brake locking up on me at the most inopportune times. What causes this? I read that the battery power and fluid power (lack of) can cause this. This is a real headache. Can a manual e-brake be installed?

I know it's been one year ago but I might have an answer to your problem if you own a ford engine/trans. And by the way Oshgosh/ford chassis do not have manual parking brake.
