When i first bought this coach, I couldn't find the battery. Now that I found it, I have no idea how i will ever get it out, other than cutting the box off, which i would rather not do. The battery is located under the trunk floor, basically behind the taillight on the driver side, hidden under a trap door. Normally this would not be a problem, but the old battery is enormous! Truthfully the biggest battery you could fit in the box. You can't tip the battery to pull it out sideways because it just gets wedged. It will have to be pulled straight up. And you can't get on top of it, just to the side through the trunk door. Anybody got a bright idea? I am considering building some kind of support above it to attach a come a long or ratchet straps to it. I don't know.

You have probably already got the thing out, but slide a nylon strap under each end, get a buddy that works out a lot and lift!!! Then have a beer!!!

Go buy a battery lift strap for an 8d battery. It fits over the top posts and then you lift it straight up. One strong person can lift an 8d battery.

I guess im just going to cut the battery box off. I guess i just didn't explain it well enough. There is no way to get on top off it to pull it straight up. Its not in the middle of the trunk, its behind the tail lights. If i could get on top of it, i could pull it out. But you are stuck coming through the trunk opening, reaching behind the taillights, and under the trunk floor. I even tried chaining my hoist to it, just not enough lifting range before you hit the door.

Talk about a hard job! I finally made a cantilever out of a deck block to get it up high enough to get one end to drop.
