Carl, I looked at mine and the terminals on the sending unit are different sizes so it should match up unless someone has modified the wire ends.

I did not pull the wires out of the smurf tubing to seed what was printed on them but can if still an issue with you.

The annunciator panel is the light panel in the middle of the dash right above the tach and speedometer. Also where the turns signal lights are located.

BillNY, MWrench and all other contributor ... thanks for your input.

I followed Bill's instructions to ground out the two wire leads and lo and behold the top one pegged the temp gauge and the lower one light up a temp warning light (that I did not know existed) in between the turn signals. YEAH! Everything worked.

Before replacing the coolant I had it tested to see if I could reuse it and was shown by the recyclng center that it had been depleted and should be replaced so I did. It was last replaced 2 years ago which is the recommended interval to change.

It was very satisfying to see the temp gauge read 180 F at idle vs. 110 F. I also replaced the radiator cap with a new 16# pressure release cap from NAPA and that seemed to help keep the engine runnig cooler as well.

Thanks again, guys.
