My parking brake is locked not engaged, I am unable to use it at all. I assume the cable is corroded, any hope of less than a full cable R&R???

My parking brake never worked on the Regal, the cables were shot. One was rusted completely gone. Good luck getting it done. You may have to get some cables made up for it. I don't think GM has made them in some time. Alan was talking about fixing it on his new 86.

Keep us posted I'm sure there are others who would benefit. Mechanic

I'm going to pull the cable in my 85 and try to get another one made. If I can't, I'm stealing it for the 86.
