Man, I managed to turn a 3-hour job into a 2-day job! The fuel pump I picked up at Advance Auto was bad. Only I wasn't aware until I went through the whole fitment process. Da*n! What a pain. Finally got her hooked up this afternoon and all is well except for an adjustment for low voltage (reading the manual as I type).

Good tip about the pump being an in-place spare. I think I'll just stash a new one in a side bin and hope it is still new years from now. :-)
