I have a 83 Barth and would like to replace the steering arm assembly. I understand that the GM part # is 14013037. Can you help me find out where or who might have one available.

Call Henderson's Super Steer, 888-898-3281 and ask for tech service, I think the guy's name is John. They make all the parts you need and their stuff is far superior to original equipment. As an example, the original equipment bell cranks use sleeved bushings vs tapered roller bearings in the Henderson product. Their other steering components are much more heavy duty that oem and their service is excellent.

The folks who own & operate Henderson's run an alignment service in Grants Pass, Oregon ... Henderson's Line-Up. We stopped there on our way through and had new Koni shocks installed and a fuel leak fixed which turned out to be bad fuel filter.

They had samples of the products they manufacture. Man are they BEEFY! We spoke to one of the assemblers, Leo, an older gentleman whose wife makes cookies for sale to patrons waiting for work to be done. He told us that the idler arms bell cranks were a "dead-end" product for them because they never wear out but in spite of the lack of obsolesence they still sell 200+ a year.

We also learned that they "bluprinted" steering gear boxes for SAGINAW and other OEM's and have them rebuilt to their specs at Red Head Steering in Washington State.

We blew our fuel regulator in Albany, OR sowhile we are having it repaired/replaced we are going to have them pull the steering box and have it sent to WA to be reuilt. $475. one day to remove and ship, one day to repair and ship, one day to reinstall. Hope this helps.
