While the subject is on Ford engine mounts, I have a problem with the rear mount tearing up, and was wondering if it is possible that the cross member is in backwards.

My rear mount is fine so I am not replacing it at this time. I am not sure I understand what you mean with the cross member in backwards?

I think the engine and transmission are not on the exact center line and when the transmission was rebuilt, the cross member was removed and I wonder if it was put back in backwards causing it to misalign the engine, transmission, and drive shafts. That would maybe explain the three rear mounts that have been destroyed in the years I've owned the coach.
