I have to agree with Dana. the 24037 is an intermittent solenoid designed to operate 10 sec. on and 20 min. off. the 24106 is a cont. duty model.

Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking that my intermittent relay overheated from continual use causing it not to open until it cooled. I've ordered a continuous duty #24106. Again, I will not post results until Spring following testing.

I think the relay in the picture is actually for the neutral safety when starting. On my breakaway one of the small wires goes to the starter solenoid. Looks like the same location as mine.

Thanks for thoughts.
With ignition ON I will move gear selector and monitor solenoid for activation. Nonetheless, the new one sure looks pretty up there. Roll Eyes

The relay should only activate when the transmission is in neutral or park and the key is in the START position
