Well, the relay plan is deferred; I put in the new connector, turned on the headlights, and the right high beam was out, then it turned on.

Checking found that one end of one butt connector hadn't even been crimped. I put a new one on, no luck.

Troubleshooting was a PITA, because red is ground, black is high beam, and yellow is low.

And I have no such things as bulkhead connectors, and I didn't have time to trace the wires.

Dash lights and nav lights are on the same circuit, so are the first candidates for a relay. Got relays, need sockets.
