This is Tere. When we took our rv out for 1st test run I turned on the hot water heater & after some time I noticed the brand new 150 degree water pressure regulator was dripping. Nor had the gas cycled off I assume at 150 degrees since water pressure regulator was dripping. I removed tstat today but realized I could not test the temperature of water since I had drained it all out after trip.

Is there a way to test the temperature rating of tstat on my stove in some water without refilling my water heater in rv? Tstat looks brand new. You Tube said to test outside of tstat housing with multimeter which I did but I think with my multometer I only found continuity.

This is Tere. I cleaned up all connections, took care of some rust, dielectric grease, connected city water, turned on gas, started right away(this wasn't a problem) waited 20-25 min. & gas turned off automatically. Waited another half hour. Drained some water out of tank to allow city water to cool see if gas would turn on automatically, it did. so thanks for all your suggestions. On to the next head scratcher.
