What type of rivets do I need for my Barth? I recall a message on this subject, but can't locate it. The frame of my generator (front) door is pulling away from the body because several rivets have broken. This isn't a major problem but I want to 'head it off at the pass'.

Thanks,

Tom

You definitly want to use aluminum rivets or you will get the disimilar metals corrosion problem we have been talking about. If you aren't into riviting you need to be. It is very east to drill out a rivet since it is aluminum. We became riveting experts when we wanted to remove the Barth name insignias and rechrome them. Since then we have replaced the rear light assemblies and the refrigerator door assemble. You can even make you kids jeans lood realy cool.

I should have been clearer in my original message.

I am aware that I need to use aluminum rivets, but the size and length is the real question.

Also, will any aluminum rivet do? Weren't Barth's assembled using aircraft grade rivets? What is the difference?
