Among the things I've been tinkering with the past few days has been the installation of the KVH R5 (tracks-while-moving) satellite dome. I started on Sunday, and finished it up today; it stretched out over four days because I had to wait for sealant to dry. All-in-all, very simple, just a lot of no-brain-required steps.

BTW, I got the "moving view" dish because it was local, and was >50% off the stationary dish street price. In StaRV II, the 120VAC outlets for the Entertainment Center are disconnected when the ignition is on. Fine by me, I watch the road for entertainment, not the TV, while underway.

Sometimes I think we're alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we're not.
In either case the idea is quite staggering.
