RustyVery nice! I'm planning to add a solar system, but roof space on 28' of Breakaway is quite limited, so I'll go with portable panels. These will actually mostly be used to charge the batteries I use for my astronomical mounts, rather than the house batteries.

bill hGotta love that tractor/bucket for lifting the panels. Wish I had thought of that with all the air conditioners I have replaced. Each one was on the brink of disaster.

I sat on top of Barth in the wind for hours trying to figure that out. The fellow even hepled me move them from the loader onto the roof.
The one other thing I tried was to pull a panel up by rope. That did not work due to the 37# weight and friction on the corner.

BywatersI’d like to make a recommendation. Load the unit from the side or back when using a tractor loader....I had the same idea last week when replacing my AC. I almost let the AC slip and found it heading toward the big piece of glass located on the front of the coach.
Experience is a great teacher for those of us who make poor decisions.
