Just my two cents on Wanderlodge, Prevost, and Newells in the used market.

These machines are all second to none in design, suspension, construction and layout, but there is one serious fly in the ointment on older units.....they almost all are powered by the two stoke Detroits.

Although these were tremendous power-plants in their day (witness the universal use by tour buses), they are now a bit of a dinosaur.

So, I would be as leery of them as the 3208 Cat that I so often have raised the ire of Cat lovers with.

Yeah, took a year off from blogging about RV stuff as I had no RV to talk about. I realize you are a better man, as I recall it didn't matter whether you had one or not to stay engaged. None the less, here I am again and hoping to stay engaged!!

We were Bluebird shopping for a while and I hate to say it but there are some clunkers for sale at overinflated prices. Not all, do not get me wrong, but buyer beware. Not all are good just because it says BB
. No maintence or knowlegable owners can even bring them to their knees (literally).

BB has been building Wanderlodge since 1968, so you wanna believe there are some worn out clunkers! Plus, they tend to be very high end it amenities for the era they come from, so more things to maintain. On the other hand, (with exception to the M380/M450) they are all steel construction. One of the reasons that only one person has ever perished in a Wanderlodge accident (and he was 80+, doing 80+ into the woods!). Early units are built on the BB school bus chassis, later (like mine)are on a tour bus (semi monocoque) chassis.

Like a Barth, there is something to work with there!

Oh sure, Corey, everybody's jolly.

When you left, I cried for week, started drinking again. Stole a cop car went on 3 state rampage (yeah, that was me) shot in the a## and badly wounded, then made it home after further trauma in the county jail with a real friendly guy named Rocko....After numerous intensive sessions with my therapist, I was just getting over you... confusion

Yeah welcome back!!! ROTFLMAO OK if I stop by? ROTFLMAO

oops, thread drift, sorry.. wack

Ha Ha Steve, It's nice to know I have left an impact, very Zen like. Stop by anytime, but realize I'm in Asheville, NC else you'll be visiting the ex.

OMG, I am SOO sorry! During the family GTG while I was drinking and grilling dinner, my evil twin brother got onto my computer. He lies, cheats, chases women (not like me) confusion and interferes with my life when he can. Mom always liked him best... cool clothes, etc... He's just out of prison and I couldn't turn him away... we don't talk about him much...

He may have said some strange things...

Seriously, Corey, good to see you back (really) great insight into so many facets of RV, etc. ROTFLMAO After all, this is MAHEM, these SOB's all lie anyway, me too, I guess. ROTFLMAO

Glad things have stabilized for you. Gonna be at Hillsboro? See ya maybe?

Spring Hill was nice but NC OK too; Never know we might be in the neighborhood...

Have Barth, will travel

But I-95 in SC south of I-26 has terrible road surfaces. Just be aware and use extra denture adhesive...
