Well, I broke down and got me a "new camper". Actually, Danny found it for me. It is a 1972 AirStream Overlander. It is in remarkable shape. Of coursed there are the usual wear issues but nothing too serious. All the rivets are nice an tight and the skin is in great shape. My wife even likes it so you know it must be good. I'll post some daylight pictures tomorrow. Thanks bro, you did good.

Timeless looks, quality construction, awesome camper.

Remember Doug, I'm looking for a $500 Airstream "like" camper to make my Tiki hut. Just in case you get post purchase dissonance!!

I thought this coach had Doug written all over it when I first saw it. It has a lot of cool features, like a few hundred storage spaces with neat roll-back doors, and a roof AC cover made out of an old roof-top luggage carrier. The polishing process is well under way, and it shouldn't take too many burned up orbitals to make her shine like a toaster.

It is a rear bath but has the single side bed on the curb side. It has a ton of room compared to our Prowler and most of the work is detail work not major renovation. My first big project is to put a new AC unit on the roof. I don't want to mess with one that is almost 40 years old.
