Here was my first RV! I built it, of course..1964 GMC bus V6. Wish I had interior pics that survived, it was awesome. I picked out a wrecked 5th wheel and the fiberglass bath came from a GMC RV. My first auto paint job was a big one! Named it Excalibur.

Founds these pics unpacking, scanned em from old Polaroids.

That's me in one of the pics, with an afro.

Very cool Corey. You have to have more pictures than that.

These were all that survived. Long before digital storage, guess I should feel lucky to find these, huh?

That is so far ahead of where I was then.. wow. What a cool project indeed.

I kind of like "Sword of Damocles!"

I had a polaroid "square shooter" Some of my only 54 Chev pictures were some of those.

One of the neat modifications on building this was installation of the fiberglass GMC bathroom. It was easy getting it out of the GMC, I just cut the thing open at the salvage yard.

Got it to the bus, and it was way too big to even fit through the rear door. So, I opened up the roof like a tin can, dropped in the bathroom, then closed it up around it. You can see it was too tall for the bus so it sticks up proud of the roof. The bathroom had all the goodies built into the unit though.

Thanks Zim!

I used a door from a 5th wheel that a barn had fallen on and crushed the roof. Lots of the interior pieces, stove, fridge, bed, couch came from the 5th wheel. I drove that wrecked fifth wheel from Longview Trailer in Springfield, Mass to Newport, NH and had it stripped in 48 hours. The deal I made gave the frame back to Longview.

From this, to a Class C, to a Combi-Camp popup, to a Jayco tandem axle popup to a fifth wheel, to a Thomas converted pusher, to a MCI 5C conversion, to Barth, to the Wanderlodge. No where to go from here Smiler

Hey Cory, you are only part way up the ladder, there is more at the top. All it takes is spending some more $$$.
